The FRAC Picardie prioritizes actions to disseminate and raise public awareness in the regional territory, stimulates sustainable partnerships with local cultural and educational actors. The creation of the Galeries network for high schools and middle schools, then that of the departmental distribution centres illustrate this approach driven by the actions of the public service. To reinforce the relevance and coherence of its interventions, since 1985 the Frac Picardie has designed its artistic action in a specific field: that of drawing and the diversity of its contemporary dimensions, on and off paper, with and without pencil. Thanks to this choice, its notoriety has gradually imposed itself both in France and abroad. The exhibitions devoted to artists represented in the collection, commissions of works and the presentation of several French and foreign private collections contributed to it.
