The Saint-Jean hospital, a remarkable architectural ensemble of the 12th century, has been housed since 1968 in the former sick room "le Chant du Monde" by Jean Lurçat (1957-1966). Manifesto of a committed artist, echo contemporary to the hanging of «L'Apocalypse», this set of ten tapestries constitutes an epic vision, poetic, symbolic and humanist 20th century. The tapestries, paintings, drawings and ceramics of Jean Lurçat complete the presentation of this major artist of the renaissance of French tapestry. Temporary exhibitions echo, all year round, with the permanent collections.
