Built between the 5th and 16th centuries on the site of the ancient city of Fréjus, the cathedral complex comprises four buildings: the bishop’s palace (now converted into the town hall), the cathedral, the baptistery and finally the canonical ensemble which includes the cloister. The latter was a place of passage allowing to serve the different buildings, it was therefore not a place of meditation.
