Roland Vincent (1946-2024), a mason by profession, began sculpting granite for his pleasure in the 1980s. It mainly features faces, but also some animals, like owls, on granite blocks of different sizes. He diversified his production, very prolific, also making statuettes from a paste consisting of sand and granite residues from the cutting of stone, assembled on a metal frame. He also sculpts characters in wood. He exhibits them in front of and in his house at Mont-de-Sardent, and participates in numerous exhibitions. In addition, Bernard Lecointe acquired fifty works by his friend Roland Vincent and arranged them around his house in Nouallet, in the same commune of Sardent. Arranged and highlighted, the place becomes an open-air museum, named the "Musée à l'air libre Roland Vincent", allowing you to discover an atypical artist.
