Der Piette-Saal ist wie kein anderer Museumsraum auf der Welt.
Dieser Ausstellungssaal ist zunächst bemerkenswert für das, was er enthält: eine fabelhafte Sammlung von prähistorischen Werkzeugen, Waffen und Kunstgegenständen, die im 19. Jahrhundert von Édouard Piette bei Ausgrabungen in den Pyrenäen entdeckt wurden.
Zahlreiche Meisterwerke sind dort ausgestellt, darunter die berühmte «Dame mit Kapuze», die in Brassempouy in den Landes entdeckt wurde. Die Szenografie wurde seit Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts entworfen.

The Salle Piette is unlike any other museum room in the world.
This exhibition hall is first of all remarkable for what it contains: a fabulous collection of tools, weapons and prehistoric art objects discovered in the 19th century by Édouard Piette during excavations in the Pyrenees.
