The MAH welcomes Tonutopiean original installation by German artist Hans-Walter Müller, a pioneer of inflatable structures. Designed specifically for the museum's courtyard, this large, transparent, habitable inflatable sphere is part of PlasMAH, a cycle of artistic and architectural explorations dedicated to the transformation of museum spaces.
Born in 1935, Hans-Walter Müller has been developing fluid, mobile architecture since the 1960s. For Tonutopiehe chose to integrate his work into La Passerelle by Vincent Lamouroux (installed in 2024). His sphere is housed at the heart of the suspended structure, creating a total work of art that is both complementary and contrasting. Traversable, Tonutopie offers a unique sensory and spatial experience. It offers visitors a multiplicity of viewpoints, playing with the perception of the site. The flexibility and lightness of the sphere contrasts with the rigidity of the wooden and stone footbridge, contrasting traditional architecture, based on gravity, with the fluid dynamics of inflatable structures. With this work, Hans-Walter Müller questions the potential of a space in constant mutation.

Le MAH accueille Tonutopie, une installation inédite de l’artiste allemand Hans-Walter Müller, pionnier des structures gonflables. Conçue spécifiquement pour la cour du musée, cette grande sphère gonflable, transparente et habitable, s’inscrit dans PlasMAH, un cycle d’explorations artistiques et architecturales dédié à la transformation des espaces du musée.
Né en 1935, Hans-Walter Müller développe depuis les années 1960 une architecture fluide et mobile. Pour Tonutopie, il choisit d’intégrer son œuvre à La Passerelle de Vincent Lamouroux (installée en 2024). Sa sphère vient se loger au cœur de la structure suspendue, créant une œuvre d’art totale, à la fois complémentaire et contrastée. Traversable, Tonutopie propose une expérience sensorielle et spatiale singulière. Elle offre aux visiteurs une multiplicité de points de vue, jouant avec la perception du lieu. La souplesse et la légèreté de la sphère dialoguent avec la rigidité de la passerelle en bois et en pierre, opposant l’architecture traditionnelle, fondée sur la pesanteur, à la dynamique des fluides propre aux structures gonflables. Avec cette œuvre, Hans-Walter Müller interroge les potentialités d’un espace en constante mutation.
