Marne Reservoir Lake is a hydraulic structure installed as a diversion of the Marne and Blaise rivers southwest of Saint-Dizier. It carries out two missions: the capping of floods during wet seasons and the support of river stretching in summer when natural flows in rivers are very low. Its action allows the maintenance of anthropogenic activities, the supply of drinking water especially during periods of restriction (drought). The visit will focus on the Marne River intake structure in Saint-Dizier. This works to control upstream the water intakes and their transport to the reservoir lake for storage.
