The castle-museum of Saint German de Livet: "luxury, peace and pleasure" in the XIXth century. Located close to Lisieux, the castle of Saint-Germain-de-Livet, classified as "Historic Monument", gathers(combines) a manor with wooden pieces of the end of the XVth century s. and a stone construction and brick glazed by the Pré-d' Auge, of the end of the XVIth century s. The room of services(offices) establishes(constitutes) an inescapable(major) stage in the discovery of the castle-museum, because it can of superb frescoes of the end of the XVIth century s. This castle-museum, labelled Museum of France, presents the furniture and the collections of the family which gave the domain in the city of Lisieux in 1957\. Conjugating furniture and works of art, the inside manifests refinement and lifestyle in the XIXth century s. and suggests discovering the artistic and personal route(course) of the painter Léon Riesener (1808-1878), grandson of the cabinet maker Jean-Henry Riesener and cousin of Eugene Delacroix.
