In 2004, the Imec opened its new research library to the public, in the superb abbey church of the Abbey of Ardenne. On the occasion of this new edition of the European Heritage Days, Bruno Decaris, chief architect of historic monuments, will return to this exceptional project. Unpublished documents will also be unveiled to the general public, to review the installation of the Institute and its collections in the third abbey of Caen.
