Between Bayeux and Saint-Lô, the state forest of Cerisy, with its 2130 ha, is the largest forest nature reserve of plain. This beech grove has been classified because of the presence of a unique species of beetle: the golden carabus with coppery reflections.
With the Isigny-Omaha-Intercom Tourist Office and the Maison de la Forêt, discover the forest environment with your students! It will be an opportunity for them to discover through a visit/ workshop of about 2h the management of the forest, the recognition of tree species, the meaning of the markings, to understand the management of the forest with the presence of dead trees as well as the different cuts and sizes made on the trees.
