The «World in Resonances» was born from the reflection of a psychologist who wanted to offer the public a place to reflect on oneself and one’s own history.
To do this, you will find 6 spaces in which you are free to walk in the direction you want, to ask yourself, to take your time, to come, to return, alone or with others.
Each of the 6 spaces of the exhibition has a theme among Friendship, Love, Adversity, Chance, Law, Self.
To guide you in your reflection on yourself, you will find in each space a luminous stele on which appears a question related to the theme. You are free to use the sheets at the end of the travel diary to write your answer and drag it into the stele.
But as we never build ourselves independently of the world around us, you will also find on your way many objects from other places and other times, poetic, calligraphic, photographic works. Do not hesitate to ask yourself about the echo they create in you.

About the location

Musée d'ethnographie de l'université de Bordeaux
3 place de la victoire, 33000 Bordeaux

The current collections of the Museum of Ethnography of the University of Bordeaux (MEB) gather about 5,000 objects from Africa, America, Asia, Oceania. Illustrating the daily life of Indigenous peoples, the oldest objects date from the end of the 19th century and come from the same collection as those of the Guimet and Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac museums. The creation of the MEB dates from 1894 within the faculty of medicine of Bordeaux. After a long closure, it reopened its doors in 2011, and has since proposed nine temporary exhibitions. With the exhibition Textile(s) 3D the museum questions how digital technologies allow to know, study and value cultural heritage. How do social and “hard” sciences work together to preserve it? The European Heritage Days are an opportunity to come and meet the textile collection of the MEB, as beautiful as it is fragile and enter the world of cutting-edge technologies in the service of the knowledge and protection of ancient textiles.
