Photographic metamorphoses
From Saturday, October 10, 2026, to Sunday, January 3, 2027
Photographic metamorphosis refers to the process by which an image goes beyond its simple function of reproducing reality. By the choice of support, the manipulation of the print, the superposition, the change of scale, the integration to a material or even the passage to drawing and other mediums, photography is transformed. This approach is not only a formal research: it reinvents reality, creates new atmospheres and evokes new sensations. The image then becomes a sensitive and poetic object to experiment with.
In these works, photography is no longer limited to its flat surface: it acquires a three-dimensional, monumental or reinterpreted dimension. Transformed by its support, its drawing mode or its spatial arrangement, it can be integrated into concrete, embedded between glass plates, tensioned on various materials, superimposed, cut out or set in volume. It can also be extended in large photographic drawings that move the contours and amplify its presence.
From real and existing images, Caroline Leite reinvents the everyday by sublimating the details of each moment. His work proceeds by wandering, chance and spontaneity: choices are born from the gaze, through observation and experience of reality.
The image is no longer just to be contemplated: it must be experienced in its materiality, its color, its light, its layout and its thickness. The photograph ceases to be a simple representation and becomes a sculpted, drawn and reinvented experience, which unfolds in space and invites the visitor to a sensitive walk, where each fragment of reality is transformed into a new sensation.
