Anlässlich des 80-jährigen Jubiläums von Magnum Photos führt die den Franziskanerinnen von Deauville mit dem Centre Pompidou und Magnum Photos vorgestellte Ausstellung die historischen Archive der Age

Zu den bedeutenden Jubiläen zählen das 200-jährige Bestehen der Fotografie und das 80-jährige Bestehen der legendären Agentur Magnum, die sich entschieden hat, dieses Ereignis in den Franciscaines zu feiern. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Centre Pompidou und im Rahmen der Reihe „Constellation“ präsentiert die Ausstellung die ersten vierzig Jahre der Agentur anhand ihrer Fotosammlungen und lässt gleichzeitig Magnum-Fotojournalisten zu Wort kommen, um die letzten zehn Jahre zu beleuchten.
Eine Einladung, mitzuerleben, wie Geschichte geschrieben wird – dank der Fotojournalisten der Agentur Magnum –, oder wie Kämpfe, Konflikte, soziale Realitäten und weltweite Veränderungen durch das Objektiv zweier Generationen von Fotografen der Agentur wie Robert Capa, Eve Arnold, Marc Riboud oder auch Olivia Arthur und Gregory Halpern eingefangen wurden.
Die Ausstellung wird gemeinsam von Les Franciscaines und dem Centre Pompidou im Rahmen des Programms „Constellation“ organisiert – bereits die zweite Zusammenarbeit dieser Art.

Notable anniversaries include the 200th anniversary of the invention of photography and the 80th anniversary of the legendary Magnum agency, which has chosen to celebrate this milestone at Les Franciscaines. In partnership with the Centre Pompidou, as part of the “Constellation” series, the exhibition presents the agency’s first forty years through its photographic collections, while featuring Magnum photojournalists to illustrate the last ten years.
An invitation to witness history in the making, thanks to Magnum’s photojournalists—or to see how struggles, conflicts, social realities, and global changes have been captured through the lens of two generations of the agency’s photographers, including Robert Capa, Eve Arnold, Marc Riboud, Olivia Arthur, and Gregory Halpern.
Exhibition co-organized by Les Franciscaines and the Centre Pompidou for a second collaboration as part of the Constellation program.

Tra gli anniversari più significativi figurano i 200 anni dalla nascita della fotografia e gli 80 anni della mitica agenzia Magnum, che ha scelto di celebrare questo evento alle Franciscaines. In collaborazione con il Centre Pompidou, nell’ambito della Constellation, la mostra presenta i primi quarant’anni dell’agenzia attraverso le sue collezioni fotografiche, avvalendosi al contempo dei fotoreporter di Magnum per illustrare gli ultimi dieci anni.
Un invito a vedere la storia mentre si scrive, grazie ai fotoreporter dell’agenzia Magnum, ovvero come lotte, conflitti, realtà sociali e mutamenti del mondo siano stati catturati dall’obiettivo di due generazioni di fotografi dell’agenzia, tra cui Robert Capa, Eve Arnold, Marc Riboud, Olivia Arthur e Gregory Halpern.
Mostra co-organizzata da Les Franciscaines e dal Centre Pompidou per una seconda collaborazione nell’ambito del programma Constellation.

Parmi les anniversaires marquants figurent celui des 200 ans de la création de la photographie et les 80 ans de la mythique agence Magnum, qui a choisi de célébrer cet événement aux Franciscaines. En partenariat avec le Centre Pompidou, dans le cadre de la Constellation, l’exposition présente les quarante premières années de l’agence à travers ses collections photographiques, tout en faisant appel à des photographes reporters de Magnum pour illustrer les dix dernières années.
Une invitation à voir l’histoire s’écrire, grâce aux photoreporters de l’agence Magnum, ou comment luttes, conflits, réalités sociales et mutations du monde ont été saisis par l’objectif de deux générations de photographes de l’agence tels que Robert Capa, Eve Arnold, Marc Riboud, ou encore Olivia Arthur et Gregory Halpern.

Entre los aniversarios más destacados se encuentran el de los 200 años de la invención de la fotografía y los 80 años de la mítica agencia Magnum, que ha decidido celebrar este acontecimiento en las Franciscanas. En colaboración con el Centro Pompidou, en el marco de la Constellation, la exposición presenta los primeros cuarenta años de la agencia a través de sus colecciones fotográficas, al tiempo que recurre a fotógrafos reporteros de Magnum para ilustrar los últimos diez años.
Una invitación a ver cómo se escribe la historia, gracias a los fotoperiodistas de la agencia Magnum, o cómo las luchas, los conflictos, las realidades sociales y los cambios del mundo han sido captados por el objetivo de dos generaciones de fotógrafos de la agencia, como Robert Capa, Eve Arnold, Marc Riboud, o incluso Olivia Arthur y Gregory Halpern.
