Das Château de la Motte im Herzen des Dorfes Arthel in der Nièvre ist ein altes mittelalterliches Fort, dessen Ursprünge bis ins 12. Jahrhundert zurückreichen. Mit Blick auf den Teich und das alte Tal der Holzschwemmungen stellt die Stätte ein bemerkenswertes Zeugnis der regionalen feudalen Architektur dar, mit ihrem imposanten zylindrischen Donjon, ihren flankierenden Türmen, ihren Vorhängen und ihren im Laufe der Jahrhunderte errichteten Wohnüberresten.
Die Besichtigung erfolgt mit einer historischen Erklärung, der Entdeckung der Kapelle Saint-Guillaume, dem Besuch des quadratischen Turms für eine Aussicht von oben und der Entdeckung eines kleinen Museums über alte Werkzeuge.

The Château de la Motte, located in the heart of the village of Arthel in Nièvre, is an old medieval fort whose origins date back to the 12th century. Overlooking the pond and the former valley of the wooden float, the site is a remarkable testimony to the regional feudal architecture, with its imposing cylindrical dungeon, flanking towers, curtain walls and residential remains built over the centuries.
The visit will be with a historical explanation, the discovery of the chapel of Saint Guillaume, the visit of the square tower for a view in height and the discovery of a small museum on old tools.

Le Château de la Motte, situé au cœur du village d’Arthel dans la Nièvre, est un ancien fortin médiéval dont les origines remontent au XIIe siècle. Dominant l’étang et l’ancienne vallée du flottage de bois, le site constitue un remarquable témoignage de l’architecture féodale régionale, avec son imposant donjon cylindrique, ses tours de flanquement, ses courtines et ses vestiges résidentiels aménagés au fil des siècles.
La visite se fera avec une explication historique, la découverte de la chapelle Saint Guillaume, la visite de la tour carrée pour une vue en hauteur et la découverte d'un petit musée sur les vieux outils.

Dominando el estanque y el antiguo valle de la flotación de madera, el sitio constituye un notable testimonio de la arquitectura feudal regional, con su imponente torre cilíndrica, sus torres flancadas, sus cortillas y sus vestigios residenciales construidos a lo largo de los siglos.
