What is a belfry? It is an old defensive wooden tower... Here in Armentières, it was repeatedly destroyed and always rebuilt, in wood and brick.

His last architect was Louis-Marie Cordonnier. He managed to make it look great after the violent destruction of 1914/1918. To admire a breathtaking panorama of the Lys Valley, the Flanders Mountains and the city, just follow the guide and climb about 200 steps. At the end of the tour, a snack of local products will be offered.
