Mammals are discreet, but leave behind them ephemeral works. A footprint in the mud looks like a sketch, a burrow looks like a sculpture, a meal remnant looks like a touch of color on the landscape canvas.
Observing these clues is learning to read a living picture where each species signs its presence in its own way.

Les mammifères se font discrets, mais laissent derrière eux des œuvres éphémères. Une empreinte dans la boue ressemble à une esquisse, un terrier à une sculpture, un reste de repas à une touche de couleur sur la toile du paysage.
Observer ces indices, c’est apprendre à lire un tableau vivant où chaque espèce signe sa présence à sa manière.

Zoogdieren zijn discreet, maar laten kortstondige werken achter. Een afdruk in de modder ziet eruit als een schets, een terriër tot een sculptuur, een overgebleven maaltijd met een vleugje kleur op het canvas van het landschap.
Het observeren van deze aanwijzingen is leren om een levend beeld te lezen waar elke soort zijn aanwezigheid op zijn eigen manier ondertekent.
