On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Musée de l'Hospice Comtesse offers visitors and the family thematic workshops to discover the collections rhyme with creation.
Public workshop | Manufacture of vegetable dyes and prints on fabric
To discover the medicinal garden of the museum, go for a manufacture of vegetable dyes and their use to make patterns on fabric. A creative workshop in soft colors, in the sense of a shared sustainable culture.

Located in the heart of the historic district of Old Lille, the Hospice Comtesse, a former medieval hospital founded in 1237 by the Countess Jeanne de Flandre, is an emblematic heritage of the city of Lille. It has been home to the city’s art and history museum since 1962.
The size of its volumes and its characteristic architecture of the places of care embody more than 750 years of hospitality and generosity. Paintings, photographs, ceramics, musical instruments,... the Museum of the Hospice Comtesse has many objects of art and history, ranging from the sixteenth century to the twentieth century. With nearly 70,000 works, its very diverse collections reflect the social and cultural history of the capital of Flanders
