It’s just a step from the stage to the dancefloor… a dance step, of course! Nicolas Barry and his artistic team invite you to enjoy the many facets of their talent and their warm hospitality.
The first Sunday celebration at Le Béaba! Join the team behind La Demande d’Asile for a special day at the Ariana. To round off the week, Nicolas Barry, his artistic collaborators, and residents of the Rigot Collective Accommodation Centre will pull out all the stops.
The programme includes a fantastic picnic beneath the trees, a dance party for younger audiences, a large-scale choreographic warm-up to get bodies moving, and, as evening falls, several hours of DJ sets transforming the park into an open-air dancefloor.
From the stage to the dancefloor is only a small step: extending the spirit of La Demande d’Asile, the day will focus on its most joyful dimensions — taking time to meet, share a meal, exchange stories, sing a song or dance a few steps together. An invitation to inhabit public space differently, and to celebrate the simple pleasure of being together.
The Fantastic Picnic
13:00 to 16:00 – Homemade specialities prepared by the residents of Rigot Collective Accommodation Centre
From the stage to the dancefloor is only a small step, and this festive Sunday invites us to take it together. Extending the spirit of La Demande d’asile (The Asylum Request), the day celebrates its most joyful dimensions: taking time to meet, share a meal and enjoy one another’s company.
We’ll provide blankets, cushions and a few tables, so bring your own lunch and settle in for a shared picnic. To complement your meal, the residents of the Rigot Collective Accommodation Centre will be serving a selection of authentic, homemade specialities.
