A fresh new look at the Comédie!
Every first Wednesday of the month, children under 12 are invited to take over the theatre’s public spaces for an afternoon of discovery and creativity. Fun, free workshops – with no registration required – are on offer to help children explore different artistic disciplines.
On these Wednesdays, the Comédie’s bar opens at 2 pm: adults can relax over a coffee whilst children enjoy a special afternoon tea offer.

BODIES IN MOTION
Discover dance in a fun and accessible way!
Alternating between being tall and steady like a mountain or light and airy like a silk scarf, children explore all the ways to connect with their bodies. Improvisation prompts, upbeat music, and a simple, easy-to-remember choreography guide the workshop and spark everyone’s imagination.
Combining play, self-awareness, and collective energy, this introductory workshop invites participants to become fully aware of their movements and share with the group the joy of moving together.
AGES 6 to 10, no adults

BUILD AN ORIGAMI VILLAGE
A square of paper, a few well-placed folds, and voilà—a little house appears. Then two, then three, until you have an entire village. Each child folds their own creation at their own pace or chooses to use the pre-made paper houses. Little by little, the creations take shape on the table, streets begin to form, and the village grows before everyone’s eyes.
A collaborative project where everyone places their own creation.
AGE All ages. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

CAP ORIGAMI
Three dancers and giant origami figures bring whimsical images to life: here, a boat caught in a storm; there, a hot potato; and further on, a hat that drives you completely crazy.
With this show, the Geneva-based company Pipóka opens the doors to a world of XXL folded paper and moving bodies, where dance and origami work in harmony. The performers sing and twirl around these funny paper creatures, taking you on a journey through wordless stories.
AGE All ages. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

CREATIVE MATERIALS AND BOARD GAMES
Between activities, children can settle in to play a board game or let their creativity run wild. A cabinet filled with markers, pencils, paper, stickers, feathers, and glitter awaits them for drawing, gluing, and inventing. A space to have fun and create at their own pace, with complete freedom.
AGE All ages. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.
HOURS Open access from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Several facilitators and supervisors are on hand throughout the afternoon to lead activities and provide the best possible support to children participating in the workshops. Please note, however, that children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adults and/or legal guardians.
