Salon de l'Agriculture (Agricultural Show)
From 13 to 21 May 2023, the many local breeds of Aquitaine will be present at the Salon de l'Agriculture Nouvelle Aquitaine during the Foire de Bordeaux.
Once again this year, the New Aquitaine Agriculture Show is coming to the Parc des Expositions during the Bordeaux International Fair.
Bazadaises, Blondes d'Aquitaine, Charolais, rams, Pyrenean goats... a veritable festival of horns, the New Aquitaine Agriculture Show is not only in line with the Cannes event. As on the Croisette, the Bordeaux show rolls out the carpet for its stars... a meadow green carpet trodden by animals. Nearly a thousand will participate in the competitions, presentations and animations.
FROM THE LIMOUSINES
A real parade! There will be 112 of them presenting themselves before the judge, hoping to be on the list of winners.
A JURY OF SUPER PROS
Judging 400 cattle, each of the 6 judges is a specialist in one of the 4 breeds competing at Aquitanima:
- Bazadaises: Paul Dussau, vice-president of Excellence Bazadaise, a great Landes enthusiast - Bérénice Walton, breeder in Gironde, an ambitious and modern young woman, very invested in sharing her profession - Bruno Isère, employee of the ESAT in Captieux, a teacher, whose Aquitanima 2023 will be his first experience as a judge.
- Blondes d'Aquitaine: Benoit Peschard, breeder in Calvados. He graduated as a judge at the last national session. A new challenge for this calm Norman.Prim'Holstein: Luc Sassel, a promising young breeder from Orne will judge the competition on May 17th.
- Limousines: Benoit Souvignet, a well-known breeder from Cantal who has been working since 2004, is a qualified judge since 2005.
HAIRDRESSERS AND MAKE-UP ARTISTS
Clippers and hair dryers are waiting for the Prim'Holsteins at the clippers' stand. They prepare the animals for the competition, shear them, even out any stains and apply a coat of polish before entering the ring.
A BIG SCREEN AND A PRIZE LIST
The competitions are broadcast live on the big screen, right up to the final podium at the announcement of the winners.

Festival de cornes
Du 13 au 21 mai 2023, les nombreuses races locales d’Aquitaine seront présentes au Salon de l’Agriculture Nouvelle Aquitaine lors de la Foire de Bordeaux.
Cette année encore, le Salon de l'Agriculture Nouvelle-Aquitaine débarque au Parc des Expositions lors de la Foire internationale de Bordeaux.
Bazadaises, Blondes d’Aquitaine, Charolaises, béliers, chèvres des Pyrénées… véritable festival de cornes, le Salon de l’Agriculture de Nouvelle-Aquitaine n’est pas uniquement en concordance de temps avec l’événement cannois. Comme sur la Croisette, le Salon bordelais déroule le tapis pour ses stars… un tapis vert prairie foulé par des animaux. Près d’un millier participera aux concours, présentations, animations.

Un véritable défilé ! Elles seront 112 à se présenter devant le juge, en espérant être au palmarès.
UN JURY DE SUPER PROS
Jugeant 400 bovins, chacun des 6 juges est spécialiste de l’une des 4 races en lice pour Aquitanima :
- Bazadaises : Paul Dussau, vice-président d'Excellence Bazadaise, grand passionné landais - Bérénice Walton, éleveuse en Gironde, jeune femme ambitieuse et moderne, très investie pour partager son métier - Bruno Isère, salarié de l'ESAT de Captieux, pédagogue, dont Aquitanima 2023 sera sa 1ère expérience en tant que juge.
- Blondes d'Aquitaine : Benoit Peschard, éleveur dans le Calvados. Il a été diplômé juge lors de la dernière session nationale. Un nouveau challenge pour ce normand de tempérament calme.
- Prim’Holstein : Luc Sassel, jeune éleveur prometteur de l'Orne jugera le concours du 17 mai.
- Limousines : Benoit Souvignet, éleveur connu du Cantal installé depuis 2004, est juge diplômé depuis 2005.
COIFFEURS ET MAQUILLEUSES
Tondeuse et sèche-cheveux attendent les Prim’Holstein au stand des clippers. Ils préparent les bêtes pour le concours, les tondent, égalisent les taches, passent un coup de lustrant avant l’entrée sur le ring.
UN GRAND ÉCRAN ET UN PALMARÈS
Les concours sont retransmis en direct sur grand écran, jusqu’à la montée finale sur le podium à l’annonce du palmarès.
