Speed Mentoring - Exploring Green Careers: Pathways to a Sustainable Future
PhD candidates and postdocs at UNIGE, join us to explore Green Careers through short mentoring sessions with professionals working in sustainability, climate, environmental fields, and beyond.

Are you considering a career beyond academia? Curious about how your PhD and/or postdoctoral experience could open doors to careers contributing to a more sustainable future? From environmental policy, biodiversity conservation, law, AI ethics and sustainable finance, sustainability challenges are creating opportunities across a wide range of professional fields.
Join us for an interactive Speed Mentoring event organised by the Graduate Campus of the University of Geneva. Meet professionals with diverse backgrounds and discover how they have built their careers, how they use their expertise in different professional contexts, and what opportunities exist beyond academic research. This event is part of the City of Geneva’s Climate Week 2026.
Through short speed mentoring sessions, you will have the opportunity to exchange directly with several mentors about their career journeys, current roles and professional experiences. The evening will conclude with an informal apéro and networking.
Whether you are early in your thesis, a postdoctoral researcher, or preparing to transition into the professional world, this event will support your career reflection and planning. Open to PhD and postdoctoral researchers from all UNIGE faculties and centres, regardless of their disciplinary background.
