Festlicher Umzug
Ein vom Institut der arabischen Welt initiiertes Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Grand Palais
Im Anschluss an die Ausstellung "Hochzeiten. Algerien-Marokko-Tunesien", am Institut der arabischen Welt vom 29.09.2026 bis 31.01.2027
Diese von dem Künstler Mohamed Bourouissa orchestrierte Aufführung vereint Schauspieler, Choreographen und Musiker und versucht, Hochzeitsgeschichten zu transformieren, die zuvor mit Menschen aus der maghrebinischen Einwanderung gesammelt wurden. Bewohner der emblematischen Städte in der Pariser Peripherie (Gennevilliers, Saint-Ouen, Pantin, Saint-Denis...), im lebendigen Bereich der Prozession.
Startschuss von Erzähl mir von deiner Hochzeit: Wagenzüge, die in "Monster-Pflanzen" verwandelt wurden und mit spektakulären Blumendekorationen geschmückt sind, fahren gleichzeitig aus diesen Städten ins Zentrum von Paris.
Die Märsche laufen auf das Institut du monde arabe (IMA) zu und bilden eine hybride Parade zwischen den Traditionen des Maghreb und dem Imaginären. Ihre Ankunft im IMA markiert den Auftakt einer riesigen Henna-Zeremonie, dann gehen sie zum Grand Palais. An diesen Orten übertragen zwei große Bildschirme live die verschiedenen Prozessionen, wodurch das Zentrum und die peripheren Gebiete miteinander in Dialog treten.
Die Fahrzeuge werden dort mit traditioneller und elektronischer Musik vorbeischauen, als Vorspiel zu einer gleichzeitig grandiosen und geselligen Feier mit Musikern, Tanz und Lichterspielen.
Große Tafeln werden ein gemeinsames Festmahl, einen riesigen Couscous beherbergen, um den herum Brautpaare, die von Schauspielern interpretiert werden, Hochzeitsgeschichten teilen. Das Fest, das Essen, Musik und Erzählungen miteinander verbindet, wird die Grenzen zwischen Fiktion und Wirklichkeit, Schauspiel und kollektivem Gedächtnis aufheben und bis in den tiefsten der Nacht mit einem Konzert im Grand Palais weitergehen.

A project initiated by the Institut du monde arabe, in collaboration with the Grand Palais
Echoing the exhibition "Marriages. Algeria-Morocco-Tunisia”, at the Institut du monde arabe from 29/09/2026 to 31/01/2027
Orchestrated by the artist Mohamed Bourouissa, this performance brings together actors, choreographers and musicians and proposes to transform wedding stories previously collected from people from the Maghreb immigration, inhabiting the emblematic cities of the Parisian periphery (Gennevilliers, Saint-Ouen, Pantin, Saint-Denis...), in living matter of the procession.
Coup d'envoi de Raconte-moi ton mariage: motorcades of cars transformed into "plant monsters", adorned with spectacular floral decorations leave at the same time from these cities to reach the center of Paris.
The processions converge towards the Arab World Institute (IMA), forming a hybrid parade between Maghreb traditions and imagination. Their arrival at the IMA marks the start of a giant henna ceremony, then they head to the Grand Palais. In these places, two giant screens broadcast live the various processions, creating a dialogue between the center and its peripheral territories.
The vehicles will parade to the sound of traditional and electronic music, as a preamble to a celebration both grandiose and friendly with musicians, dance and light shows.
Large tables will host a collective feast, a giant couscous, around which married couples interpreted by actors will share their wedding stories. Combining meals, music and the transmission of stories, the festival will thus abolish the boundaries between fiction and reality, show and collective memory, to continue until the heart of the night with a concert at the Grand Palais.

Un progetto avviato dall'Arab World Institute, in collaborazione con il Grand Palais
In eco della mostra "Matrimoni. Algeria-Marocco-Tunisia", presso l'Istituto del mondo arabo dal 29/09/2026 al 31/01/2027
Orchestrata dall'artista Mohamed Bourouissa, questa performance unisce attori, coreografi e musicisti e si propone di trasformare racconti di matrimoni raccolti in precedenza da persone provenienti dall'immigrazione maghrebina, abitante delle città emblematiche della periferia parigina (Gennevilliers, Saint-Ouen, Pantin, Saint-Denis...), nella materia viva della processione.
Calcio d'inizio di Raccontami del tuo matrimonio: cortei di auto trasformate in "mostri-piante", adornate con spettacolari decorazioni floreali, partono contemporaneamente da queste città per raggiungere il centro di Parigi.
I cortei convergono verso l'Istituto del mondo arabo (IMA), formando una parata ibrida tra tradizioni magrebine e immaginarie. Il loro arrivo all'IMA segna l'inizio di una cerimonia dell'henné gigante, poi si dirigono verso il Grand Palais. In questi luoghi, due schermi giganti trasmettono in diretta i vari cortei, facendo dialogare centro e territori periferici.
I veicoli sfileranno al suono di musiche tradizionali ed elettroniche, come premessa a una festa allo stesso tempo grandiosa e conviviale con musicisti, danza e giochi di luce.
Grandi tavoli ospiteranno un banchetto collettivo, un couscous gigante, intorno al quale coppie di sposi interpretate da comici condivideranno le storie di matrimonio. Mescolando pasti, musica e narrazioni, la festa abbatterà i confini tra finzione e realtà, spettacolo e memoria collettiva, per proseguire fino al cuore della notte con un concerto al Grand Palais.
