Raconte-moi ton mariage, initiated by the artist Mohamed Bourouissa in response to the exhibition Mariages (Algérie-Maroc-Tunisie) (September 2026 at the IMA), takes the form of a festive procession through several cities on the outskirts of Paris to reach Paris.
Processions will converge from Gennevilliers, Saint-Ouen, Pantin, Saint-Denis and Argenteuil to the center of Paris, thus creating a dialogue between the territories. Decorated cars, traditional and electronic music, henna ceremony and large collective feast rhythm this parade combining traditions, contemporary creation and transmission of memories, between fiction and reality. Actors and actresses will activate the performance based on wedding stories collected from inhabitants of Maghreb immigration.
The procession will then join the Nave of the Grand Palais for a great celebration bringing together artists of all generations and aesthetics, for a journey to the heart of North African music, from yesterday to today.
This parade will mix traditions, contemporary creation and transmission of memories, between fiction and reality.
