As part of the 2023 European Heritage Days, the LP2I is open to the public to allow visitors to discover a building, an educational project and an ambition born 35 years ago.
On this occasion, an exceptional event program was imagined to allow you to see and do otherwise!

Art as a common thread!
The collective ACTE, a collective of artists living in the high school, organized for this occasion a residency of 2 sound artists, an exhibition of 3 artists of the collective who will offer visitors the restitution of their works and workshops.
OVER/REAL -

Electroacoustic device & performances in-situ in real time.
Hubert Michel, Franck Dubois + guests.
For Franck Dubois and Hubert Michel, working with this building of knowledge transmission with a singular architecture is an opportunity that arouses the desire to explore and give to dream.
For the ON/REAL sound installation, the sound objects of the LP2i, concrete place will be captured here by different transducers distributed in different locations of the building. They make vibrations of materials audible to give as close as possible and in real time the symphony of the building itself.
NEW ENTRIES -

Group exhibition.

“Our work revolves around imaginary worlds to do. We want to work together around new possibilities, new entries by imagining rules of the game: performance protocols, how to film, making objects.”
The exhibition presented in September 2023 at the LP2i gallery will be preceded by two workshop proposals:

• a giant puppet manipulation workshop,
• a workshop for reflection and creation around the automotive object,
  These two workshops present common intentions: collective creation and interaction around the same object.

  In parallel with the exhibition «Nouvelles entrées» the secondary schools of the LP2i will learn to manipulate a giant puppet inflated with air.
  The use of this puppet requires a work of cooperation by the body; it is a character to which one learns to move, to express oneself, to have a character of its own. They will thus circulate with the puppet in the different spaces of the LP2i, outside as well as inside: enter through the doors, rush into the corridors, block the doors of the elevator... Because of its very large size and flexibility, the puppet produces comical and absurd situations by exploring the places, devices, furniture and objects that make the daily life of high school students LP2i.
  Friday 15 September (10h15 to 19h30): - 10h15-11h15: SUR/REEL workshop with the artists (1h), outdoors on the acousmonium device.
• 10h30-12h: Giant puppet workshop with the artists (1h30), outside in the park.
• From noon: ON/REEL presentation with the artists (1h), in the projection room.
• At 2pm: Giant puppet workshop with the artists (1h30), outside in the park.
• 15h15-16h15: SUR/REEL workshop with the artists (1h), outdoors on the acousmonium device.
• 18h30: SUR/REEL presentation at the Lieu multiple in Poitiers with the artists (1h), in the planetarium.
  Saturday, September 16 (9:30 am to 5 pm):
• 10h-13h: orientation race in the high school, organized by Poitiers CO (site).
  This is a new race because it is an indoor sprint format, which is very rarely done in orienteering.
  The race is open to everyone: the race is open to the general public and there is no need to have an orienteering license to participate… So challenge your brothers, sisters, parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents! and discover high school in chrono mode!
• At 11am, 3pm and 5pm: LIVE ON/REEL sessions (30 min).
• At 1pm: SUR/REEL workshops with the artists (1h), outdoors on the acousmonium device.
• From 15:30: opening NEW ENTRANCES (1h30).
• At 15:30 to 16:30: presentation of the LP2I educational project in its space, conference moderated by the management team.
  Sunday 17 September (10.30 am to 5 pm) - At 11 am: SUR/REEL workshop with the artists (1 am), outdoors on the acousmonium device.
• At 3pm: LIVE SESSION ON/REEL, 30min.
• 15.30 to 16.30: presentation of the LP2I educational project in its space, conference moderated by the management team.
  In addition, for visitors who wish, high school students can accompany you in a guided discovery of the high school, continuously over the two days.
