The olfactory visit proposes to add a meaning to the discovery of the exhibition. In addition to sight and hearing, smell is stimulated by the creation of a journey of smells and scents. For example by creating the evocation of the disappeared garden of Cap Martin, the smells of roses and chrysanthemum. Through the proposed synesthesia, visitors immerse themselves sensitively in the images. In partnership with Iris & Morphée. With the support of the Amis du musée départemental Albert-Kahn.

This garden perpetuates the work of the patron banker Albert Kahn (1860-1940) on his former property in Boulogne. In this 4-hectare site, Albert Kahn has combined the most contrasting plant compositions, in the image of his project: a world in peace where peoples coexist in perfect harmony. The French garden and the rose garden bear the mark of the famous landscaper Achille Duchêne. The blue forest, the marsh and the golden forest border the meadow, coloured like an impressionist painting. The Vosges forest, evoking the native landscape of the banker, adjoins the English garden, punctuated by picturesque pavilions. The Japanese garden reflects Albert Kahn’s affinities with this country. In 1990, a contemporary Japanese garden was created. This modern work pays tribute to the life and work of Albert Kahn.
