For 7 years now, the association Chlorophylle has given a second life to the vegetable garden present on the estate of the castle of Motte Tilly. Come and discover the history of the vegetable garden, its rehabilitation in 2017, as well as the technique of growing vegetables on living soil.

Dominating the Seine, the Château de La Motte Tilly, built in the middle of the 18th century for Abbé Terray, general controller of the finances of Louis XV, is a perfect testimony of the art of living «in the French style». Surrounded by its gardens and wooded park, with a collection of works and exceptional furniture, it combines luxury, tranquility and harmony. Its current state is the result of an intense campaign of works, led by the count of Rohan-Chabot, descendant of Terray, at the beginning of the twentieth century. His daughter, the Marquise de Maillé, an archaeologist and historian, continued this work by combining authenticity and modernity. The estate and its castle are now managed by the National Monuments Centre.
