aOn 15 ha surrounded by nature, the Musée des maisons comtoises invites you to immerse yourself in traditional regional habitat. Created in 1984 in Nancray, it brings together about thirty buildings dismantled from their place of origin and carefully rebuilt identically thus testifying to the ingenuity of rural builders. The Musée des Maisons Comtoises is one of five open-air museums in France. This traditional 17th, 18th and 19th century building is surrounded by gardens, theme gardens, pastures and animals. To live, to live, to manage the resources, to preserve its environment are observed in the light of the local history to project themselves in the future. The museum is thus a tool to raise awareness of sustainable development through the suitability of the habitat with its environment, from the seventeenth century to the present day.
