Created in 1984 in Nancray, it brings together about thirty buildings dismantled from their place of origin and carefully rebuilt identically thus testifying to the ingenuity of rural builders. The Musée des Maisons Comtoises is one of five open-air museums in France. This traditional 17th, 18th and 19th century building is surrounded by gardens, theme gardens, pastures and animals.
