Parc Laplagne et sa Roseraie historique des Vazeix (site du lycée agricole)

A unique historical landscape heritage, the Roseraie des Vazeix was designed in 1924 by the landscaper Martial Faure-Laurent, at the request of the owner of the time Monsieur Laplagne. It is part of a landscaped park of the nineteenth already present surrounding, as a green setting, the castle of Vaseix in innovative style of art-deco inspiration that makes it virtually unique in France in its design. In 1942, the Laplagne family bequeathed the estate and its rose garden named «la petite Malmaison des limousins» to the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2016, a steering committee is created to reflect on the restoration of this forgotten site with the aim of preserving and enhancing the historical landscape heritage in the form of a school site entirely conducted with gardener learners (students, trainees or apprentices) and their trainers under the aegis of the School of the planetary garden of Gilles Clément.
