This garden of recent creation was conceived(designed) on the location of the old(former) cemetery of the church Saint Martin in the spirit of the heritage of the church, medieval by its tower to be faulty of the XIIIth century and Renaissance by its wall paintings(paints). Of modest size (200m2), it is symmetrically divided on both(all) sides of a main aisle into squares fulfilled by plessis of hazels In these squares, known plants in the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance (more than a hundred) were introduced according to themes answering the traditional uses(practices) of time(period): curative, aromatic, food and condiment, utilitarian and ornamental, and magical. Objective is the extension of the visit of a historical heritage built in an aspect less known than is the medieval garden and Renaissance, its functions(offices) (provide at the vital needs for the inhabitants), its uses(practices) across the Capitulary of Villis, herbariums (of whom(which) that of Leonhart Fuchs) the medical treaties of distinguished characters such as Hildegarde de Bingen, Mattheus Platearius, Paracelse and its famous theory of signatures.
