À propos du lieu

PRÜGER-WALLNER GARDEN
Bratislava
  • Région de Bratislava
The villa garden of the hotelier Heinrich Prüger's family, which had both an ornamental and a useful part. Flowers, fruits and vegetables were grown in the garden in the first half of the 20th century. In the southern part there were four greenhouses and a house with a boiler room for their heating, which can still be found here today. The Prűger family operated a private horticulture plant called Flóra. After World War II, the owners left Slovakia (moved to England) and the garden gradually fell into disrepair. In 2013, the National Trust organization started organizing volunteer brigades to save the said garden. Today, the garden is owned by the City of Bratislava, and it also includes the community garden Prügerka, which is managed by the National Trust now.
