Winner of the 2023 Citizen Ecological Budget, initiated by the Departmental Council of Puy-de-Dôme (63), the association Blanzat Raconte Moi Une Histoire was able to realize its project of creating a participative and supportive bonbonnier garden. It is about replanting plants allowing the manufacture of confectionery: fruit pasta, raspberry candy, mint, marshmallow, licorice, rhubarb and especially angelica, emblematic plant cultivated for many years in Blanzat thanks to a rich land and a stream "Le Bédat" that made irrigation easy. Angelica was known for its many medicinal virtues, the possibility of using all parts of the plant. It declined in liqueur... and the candied part was integrated in the cakes. It is a plant that was exported (Ex: in England). Unfortunately, the production stopped. Our ambition is to revive this local tradition and transmit the knowledge of these cultures to present and future generations.
