À propos du lieu

Citadelle de Besançon
99 rue des Fusillés, 25000 Besançon
  • Doubs
  • Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Citadel of Besançon is considered one of the most beautiful citadels in France. It overlooks more than 100 meters the old town of the Comtoise capital and offers breathtaking views from its ramparts. The Citadel now houses on 11 hectares, 3 museums of France: the Comtois museum, the museum (naturalium, insectarium, noctarium, aquarium, zoological garden and small farm) and the museum of the Resistance and Deportation. Their common point: to be ambassadors of the values and ideals carried by UNESCO. First cultural and tourist site of the Centre Est of France, the Citadelle keeps its promise: that of a heritage living strong in emotions. More than a place, an experience, the Citadelle offers a rich and varied program throughout the year to discover on citadelle.com
