The Cité on the garden side
As part of the Rendez-vous aux jardins operation, the Cité de l'accordéon invites you to discover its garden area. Formerly reserved for the director of the Banque de France, it has been transformed under the vision of Armelle Claude, landscaper of the project management team and thought as a small theater of greenery; it offers visitors to the museum a space of nature and tranquility.
It welcomes the ceramic artist Jean-Louis Puivif member of the Ateliers d'Art de France who lives and works in Haute-Vienne. He uses kaolin to create decorative pieces inspired by nature. To achieve them, he uses the technique of taking an impression, stop on image that reflects a precise moment of the state of the plant. The artist exhibits cosmos, amaryllis, daisy as well as leaves of chestnut, ginko biloba and hazel. His pieces, of a white color, share the flexibility, rigidity, robustness but also the fragility of their colored comrades.
The works of Jean-Louis Puivif will be visible in the garden of the City throughout the month of June.
