Discovery of the educational garden: visits, workshops, shared meals

On the agenda:

  • Guided tour at 11am and 2pm Saturday. For people with reduced mobility, visit at 12pm and 3pm
  • Free visit of the educational garden: observe and discover the different varieties of flowers, vegetables.
  • Several workshops will be offered around the 5 senses. Painted jars that contain fragrant plants. Bags in non-transparent fabric to recognize the material, texture. Course barefoot. Find flowers, plants with photos. Taste and prepare drinks (mint, lemon balm, thyme...). Small meditation: sit in the garden, close your eyes and listen to the noises.
  • Shared meal from 12 noon

Public garden in an urban setting. Open to the public all year round. With educational vocation and support of social link for the priority neighborhood of the city of Garros. Various educational elements are present, including an interpretive trail, an apiary, a greenhouse, a dozen crop boards, a country hedge and several biodiversity schemes. Turned towards the inhabitants, it also welcomes employees in insertion of the district management for garden workshops. Sustainable water management is achieved as well as methods of gardening on living soil

Pedestrian/bicycle access via Rue du Bourget or the pedestrian route (known as the Green Way, old railway way). Several car parks are available in the vicinity. Accessible to people with reduced mobility. Pets allowed on leash.
