Four gardens, four stories, four stops punctuated by exuberant plants, aromatic herbs, flowers and fruit trees joined by the water of a fountain and ponds, an inherent element and founder of the very essence of the garden. A garden of Mediterranean plants, a link between East and West, welcomes the visitor in its rediscovery of medieval gardens: the Garden of Paradise, a place of delight and contemplation with its flowers and birds; the Garden of the perfumer, quintessence of the enclosed garden where the rose smells; the Garden of the Simple and its medicinal plants; the Arabo-Andalusian Celestial Garden, where the mineral symphony meets the profusion of plants. If these gardens have been reinterpreted from emblematic works, they also allow us to recall that the Abbey of Saint-Antoine was from the Middle Ages a vast garden, this cloister symbolizing the heavenly paradise according to the evocation of Sicard, Bishop of Cremona, who recommended that the garden be “planted with trees and
