Great-granddaughter of bookseller, bookseller for 30 years (Librairie Georges in Talence), president of the Association of independent bookstores in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Cécile Bory Saillant is fond of texts and images. In her moments of tranquility, in trips or walks, she escapes, lingers with her gaze high, in search of singular, twisted or colossal trees.
She captures them in photos, frames them with love, to magnify them, sublimate them, offer them to us, one day. For her, photographing these trees means appropriating their essence, their light, offering them an eternity, in their majesty, their mystery. It is to raise them, to highlight them, in all their splendor, It is a vibrant tribute to their greatness.
