In 2024, the Bullukian Foundation undertook major renovations to its garden, in collaboration with the architectural firm CH.V. This project, entitled Le Dernier Caravansérail, gave birth to two distinct spaces: a scenic garden and a botanical garden. Designed in partnership with the CRBA (Centre de Ressources de Botanique Appliquée), the botanical garden showcases plants linked to Armenia, the country of origin of Napoleon Bullukian, founder of the Foundation.
This space also houses works by contemporary artists such as Lionel Sabatté and Jérémy Gobé, as well as ceramics specially made for the garden in collaboration with the Muscari association.
Located in the heart of Lyon, close to Place Bellecour, the Bullukian Foundation offers a true oasis, symbol of its history and cultural commitment. This new garden, integrated into the Foundation’s contemporary art centre, is an open-access space dedicated to the dissemination of art.

Created in 1985, the Bullukian Foundation carries out on a daily basis ambitious and unique projects in the fields of creation, applied medical research and the promotion of social and solidarity initiatives, in accordance with the latest wishes of its founder, Napoleon Bullukian. The Bullukian Foundation presents itself as a meeting place thanks to its spaces of exhibitions and mediation, but also its peaceful interior garden which adjoins the Place Bellecour in the manner of the ancient cloisters. At once the nucleus, crucible and catalyst of its actions, the centre of contemporary creations of the Bullukian Foundation has the ambition and will to foster and participate in the emergence of new and plural forms of expression, conducive to a culture in motion.
