Architecture is a must for everyone, in public spaces and in private. It is a social and political art, reflecting the society that produces it, crucible of its functioning and testimony to its noblest aspirations. Being at the same time matter, economy and society, it is logical that it was discussed on many occasions in previous congresses of the Federation: those, in particular, on housing (1969), abbeys (1978), castles (1987 and 2003), industry (1988), cathedrals (1996), rural areas (1997), sea bathing (2001), education (2015), cities (2022), and the list is not exhaustive. The 2024 congress proposes to explore the theme of construction and reconstruction for itself: materiality of architecture, but also mode of production, political, social and functional aspects, narratives and imagination.
