Stefan Cornic ist freier Autor, Regisseur und Operateur. Nach seinem Abschluss in Kunstgeschichte schreibt und dreht er Filme in den Bereichen Kunst, Architektur und Film, wo seine Arbeit die Verbindungen zwischen Bild, Raum und Erzählung erforscht. Er ist unter anderem der Autor von Jim Jarmusch, Poèmes sur pellicule (2018), L'œil, le pinceau et le Cinématographe (2021), der Sammlung "Le Grand Paris des écrivains" (2018-2022), sowie der Métamorphosen du Grand Palais (2025) und zahlreicher Porträts zeitgenössischer Künstler. Im Jahr 2026 unterschrieb er Villa Arson, eine Eidechse in der Sonne, die während einer Residenz vor Ort entstand. Seine Filme werden auf Arte, France Télévisions und Ciné+ gezeigt und sind auf internationalen Festivals, in Ausstellungen, Museen und Kunstzentren zu sehen.

This film offers a sensitive immersion in the heart of the Villa Arson, an exceptional place wanted by André Malraux and designed by Michel Marot in 1967 that brings together a school of fine arts, a contemporary art center and artists' residences. Far from a fixed patrimonial look, it reveals an architecture and a living space. Between hanging gardens, patios and workshops, the Villa Arson appears as a true Mediterranean village where contemporary creation, architecture and landscape converse.
Through the voice of its creator and following some characters who make us live the places today, the film tells the poetic, human and cultural force of a place-manifesto always in movement.

Stefan Cornic is an independent author, director and cinematographer. Graduated in art history, he writes and directs films in the fields of art, architecture and cinema where his work explores the links between image, space and narrative. He is notably the author of Jim Jarmusch, Poèmes sur pellicule (2018), L'œil, le pinceau et le Cinématographe (2021), from the collection « Le Grand Paris des écrivains » (2018-2022), as well as Métamorphoses du Grand Palais (2025) and numerous portraits of contemporary artists. In 2026, he signed Villa Arson, a lizard in the sun, made during an on-site residency. His films are broadcast on Arte, France Télévisions, Ciné+ and circulate in international festivals, exhibitions, museums and art centers.
