Theater: “Désalpe”
As part of the 24-25 Cultural Season. See the conditions of sale of tickets on the site.
Désalpe tells the story of the distress of the tribes and corporations of the Alps – hoteliers, ski instructors and all the trades interested in the exploitation of what has long been called “white gold” – in the face of the end of the snow, which brought with it the end of their trade and the very basis of their existence. They had certainly seen the warning signs of this phenomenon over the years but, confident in the power of their (snow) cannons, and blinded by their long juicy profits, they, as they say, “did not see it coming ".
Now descended into the plain ("at the top, it's ruined"), therefore completely flat, or even flattened, they say out loud this lost paradise, recall the services provided to Dutch tourists as well as to the French, and ask us for the asylum, acknowledging in a low voice that he had filled his pockets all the same. Three actresses and four musicians, corps from the plains and alphorns (what other instrument could have sung that?), embody this submerged world – in the fiction of the theater at least, and rather poorly in reality in reality. A dark but light spectacle; serious, but ironic and offbeat; bearer of a word finally, but above all, musical.
