When the Minguet-Quartett supported by actor Julian Mehne takes off with you for a night flight through space and time on the wings of French poets and tonal poetry makers, the borders between language and music, between then and now are playfully overcome. Baudelaire's "flowers of evil" grow in the greenhouse that is Ravel's music more enticingly than ever.
And when surrounded by Henri Dutilleux's lucid weavings of the night, François Villons' wild and tender singings about love, death and splendour and misery of the human condition are suddenly disturbingly close to the present. And outside the nightly park is sleeping and dreaming its own dream ...
