The City of Stained Glass

The City of Stained Glass is located in Troyes, in the heart of the Aube in Champagne, European land of stained glass. It offers a journey through the heart of the stained glass windows, from the Middle Ages to the present day through a permanent exhibition with renewed works, as well as temporary exhibitions. Opened in December 2022 by the Département de l'Aube, the Cité du Vitrail is located in the Hôtel-Dieu-le-Comte, a remarkable historical setting that also houses an apothecary.
On the occasion of the European Night of Museums, the Cité du Vitrail invites Mylène Billand for 4 exceptional performances of her puppet show in stained glass: the Widow and the Knight. A discovery for the whole family!

The Apothecary, among the most beautiful in France, preserves an exceptional collection of earthenware pots and pharmaceutical boxes in painted wood of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
