BiblioWeekend: One plant, one story, one sound

Do you know the baobab tree?
In the company of our scientist, explore the botanical characteristics of this emblematic tree, its many uses and taste its fruit!
Then, to the rhythm of Malagasy music, let yourself be transported by our librarians who, will tell you a legend about this remarkably long-lived tree, also known as the ‘bottle tree’ or ‘upside-down tree’ because of its silhouette.
The programme runs for 1 hour from 10am to 11am and again from 11am to 12.am.
This activity is part of BiblioWeekend 2025, a weekend devoted to libraries throughout Switzerland with the theme ‘Words connect worlds’ - in association with the Musée d'Ethnographie de Genève (MEG) library, which is organising a conference on Malagasy oral tradition.
