Tango music may be familiar, but the language barrier often prevents us from understanding its lyrics. Over the years, great lyricists, some of them true poets, have emerged to give Tango, through the richness of their texts, that cultural contribution which has made it a complete musical genre, classified today by Unesco as an intangible world heritage site. Georges GALOPA is the author of articles and several books devoted to Carlos GARDEL, considered the greatest Tango singer of all time. In 2006, he was declared an "illustrious member" of the Centre d'Etudes Gardéliennes de Buenos-Aires. Today, he continues his research on Tango in collaboration with Argentine researcher Ana TURÓN.
