Skylab
11am: Skylab, the first space station launched by NASA
Skylab is the only American space station to be launched into orbit. It has
enabled us to learn a great deal about life in space, and to discover
a "new sun" by observing this star without the screen of
the atmosphere. This presentation is a small souvenir of the
post-Apollo space adventure, which started badly and ended...
humorously. But the legacy of new knowledge was
considerable at the time.
Lecture by Thomas Dolivo, President of the Société Astronomique du Nord Vaudois.

Please note that if the weather is good in the morning and not in the afternoon, the sun observation will take place in the morning and the lecture in the afternoon.

11h: Skylab la première station spatiale lancée par la NASA
Skylab est la seule station spatiale américaine mise en orbite. Elle a
permis d'en apprendre beaucoup sur la vie dans l'espace, et de découvrir
un "nouveau soleil" par l'observation de cette étoile sans l'écran de
l'atmosphère. Cette présentation est un petit souvenir de cette aventure
spatiale post-Apollo qui a fort mal commencé pour se terminer ...
de façon humoristique. Mais l'héritage en nouvelles connaissances a été
considérable à cette époque.

13h: Observation du Soleil, si la météo le permet.
À noter que si la météo est bonne le matin et pas l'après-midi, l'observation du soleil aura lieu le matin et la conférence l'après-midi.
