Conserving plants is crucial to combating climate change, supporting biodiversity, maintaining ecosystems and conserving natural resources for future generations. About 600 plants have been recorded since 1750 as extinct due to the destruction of their natural habitats. A representation of specimens in our herbarium tells us the tragic story of the sixth mass extinction.
