From 2 February to 18 July 2025, the Musée du Terroir invites you to discover the profession of wood turner!
In this new temporary exhibition, the Musée du Terroir explores the craft of wood turned through time.
Using objects from its reserves, the museum highlights the work of this little-known artisan who is the wood turner whose achievements are well known: table legs, chairs, coat racks, etc.
The exhibition also focuses on the more current and artistic creations of the wood turner from Sainghin en Weppes Stéphane Dhennin.
Included in the museum entrance ticket. Free on the 1st Sunday of the month.

The Musée du Terroir traces the rural and domestic life of the inhabitants of northern France at the beginning of the 20th century.
In the typical setting of an old farm with a square courtyard, the Musée du Terroir allows you to dive into everyday life in the twentieth century and also to discover the tools and practices of craftsmen of yesteryear such as blacksmith or saddler. With more than 5,000 objects, the museum is the ideal place for transmission between generations.
