In addition to the military aspects, the long conquest of Algeria (1830-1902) was accompanied by exceptional policies that led to the takeover of this vast territory. Based on recent research, this panel will present the land and repressive measures put in place by colonizing France to establish its power: administrative justice, internments, mass dispossession, etc.
