Take advantage of the National Architecture Days to discover or rediscover stone: material conscruction yesterday and today!

We are offering on October 19 and 20:

discover the stone cutting: -> by participating in an internship supervised by a professional stonemason: realization of a rosette/ paid service from 62 to 119 € depending on the chosen duration -> by circulating within the workshop to see the work excecuted by the trainees.
Visit an underground quarry to understand how the stone was mined and its path from the extraction site to the building over 20 centuries.

The Stone House is a complex comprising: - an old 19th century farmhouse leaning against the limestone rock - an exhibition hall called "Front Gallery" of great architectural quality - a former underground quarry that has become a turn-based limestone quarry and a mushroom-growing site in Paris - an abandoned open-pit quarry where nature meets the remains of stone transport extractions.
