VISIT OF THE REHABILITATION SITE OF THE BUILDINGS OF THE DEPARTEMENTAL COUNCIL ON THE SITE OF LA MADELEINE
**THE 11:00 VISIST IS FULL THERE ARE STILL PLACES FOR THE 9:00 VISIT.**The CAUE de l'Ain, in association with the Association des Architectes de l'Ain, offers a visit of the site with explanations from Etienne Mégard architect and Bruno Pernici architect, in the presence of elected officials from the Department.
Project designed by Etienne Mégard architect.
The Parc de la Madeleine historically corresponds to the former psychotherapeutic hospital of Ain, which now hosts services of the Department.
This project is part of a global approach of the Department of Ain which aims to group its services on the site of the Madeleine, in the heart of the city of Bourg-en-Bresse. Located on the southern edge of the site, the buildings Saint-Antoine and Sainte-Thérèse are restructured.
The project aims to purify elements added over time on stone buildings, so that they return to their original volumes and characteristics.
The project demonstrates a commitment to eco-design:
- By using local and bio-based materials, with wood wool insulation, wooden joineries. A resource diagnostic also identified reusable materials to limit the use of new materials and the landfill of materials that are still in good condition.
- By implementing a hybrid natural ventilation system that offers a simple, reliable, robust system requiring very little maintenance and ensuring 75% lower electricity consumption compared to a conventional double flow system, This system also offers the possibility of natural night refreshment in summer.
