The Parc de la Madeleine historically corresponds to the former psychotherapeutic hospital of Ain, which now hosts services of the Department.
This project is part of a global approach of the Department of Ain which aims to group its services on the site of the Madeleine, in the heart of the city of Bourg-en-Bresse. Located on the southern edge of the site, the buildings Saint-Antoine and Sainte-Thérèse are restructured.
The project aims to purify elements added over time on stone buildings, so that they return to their original volumes and characteristics.
The project demonstrates a commitment to eco-design:

• By using local and bio-based materials, with wood wool insulation, wooden joineries. A resource diagnostic also identified reusable materials to limit the use of new materials and the landfill of materials that are still in good condition.
• By implementing a hybrid natural ventilation system that offers a simple, reliable, robust system requiring very little maintenance and ensuring 75% lower electricity consumption compared to a conventional double flow system, This system also offers the possibility of natural night refreshment in summer.
